New York City in June

Ok, I am determined to get this post done before we leave for our next trip! Which is in approximately six hours... We leave for the airport at 3:30am tonight/tomorrow morning for St. Thomas with our friends :D

So! Here is our week in New York! We ended up having a lot more free time than I thought we would, so we got to see a lot! We LOVED the city. I love the diversity- traveling around and not having every person look just like me. We worked so hard during the days (the mission part of trip will be a whole separate post), but each night we went out to Manhattan. Friday was our last day and we had the whole morning to run around Manhattan. My favorite thing we did was go to Top of the Rock, which was on top of the Rockefeller center, looking out over the whole city.

Let's begin :)

Times Square was also one of our favorite things! I mean, as photographers- the lighting was just amazing.

One of the nights, we ate at Sake Bar Hagi, which was AMAZING Japanese food in this basement.

One morning we had to take a train to The Bronx to get an interview. It was really cool because we got to see so many parts of the city. We stayed in Queens, went to Manhattan at night, and then had the morning trip to The Bronx.

Later that day we had Shake Shack for lunch and it lived up to all my hopes and dreams :)

This was Jackson Heights, the area where we did most of our work.

And THIS....was Bruno Mars. A cat on a leash.

Top of the ROCK!!!!!!

One night we got to meet up with some of our friends that live in the city and it was so nice! We had dessert at Serendipity :)

We saw Grand Central Station Friday morning and it was so cool!!! It was even bigger than I expected!

Later that day we wandered through Central Park before we had to leave. Our favorite parts were the south east side and the mall.

Stay tuned for some St. Thomas pics soon!
